Homes for Independent Living (HIL) has been offering residential services for adults who have a wide variety of disabilities since 1977. We strive to be a leader in providing the best in residential and community-based services.

Our philosophy is simple; give people the opportunity to achieve goals, meet challenges, fulfill dreams and ultimately live well. We help individuals reach their greatest level of independence through choices, opportunities, and experiences.

Oconomowoc Residential Programs and Homes for Independent Living are proud to be employee owned, through participation in an ESOP program. Our employees are also our owners.

We encourage loyalty and longevity by offering a variety of employment and advancement opportunities. HIL is proud to be an employee owned company through participation in an ESOP program. Our residents live in small group homes or apartment settings which allows for individualized attention and support. Independent Living Assistants aid individuals with the activities of daily living, behavioral programs and recreational activities. There is a complete orientation program for new employees, as well as ongoing educational opportunities. Other positions which may be open include the positions of Senior Living Assistant, Assistant Manager, and Manager. Most programs are staffed 24 hours a day with three shifts, so a variety of work times is available. Part-time and temporary work is often possible, as well as full-time.
