Technical Content Manager

The goal of the Technical Content Manager is to work closely with the company's corporate business units to develop technical content which promotes MACOM's products and technologies within its end markets. This role will help drive customer interest, establish strategic product positioning, and help drive overall sales of MACOM products. The position will utilize the candidate's strong technical background and market knowledge to gather and extract unique insights about MACOM's products and technologies, competitive differentiation, and market expansion opportunities. The candidate will be able to translate these insights into innovative and compelling technical collateral (press releases, blog posts, white papers, etc.) to support the Company's new product introduction (NPI) process, go-to-market strategies, sales training, and overall corporate communications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead content creation to support go-to-market programs for each of MACOM's 6 business units
  • Create intimate relationships with product line managers and sales teams to understand customer and business needs
  • Manage all product-related external communications, including drafting, positioning, and launch of all product and trade show press releases
  • Manage corporate email distribution program for outbound communications to customers
  • Manage and track new products, delivering sales training and customer focus sales tools
  • Support content creation for MACOM's external website
  • Create technical papers and content for internal and external consumption
  • Leverage marketing channels to expand reach into new markets and applications
  • Manage relationships with industry publications

Required Skills

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in semiconductors and/or RF, microwave and optical markets
  • Marketing communication project management and strategic thinking.
  • The ability to work on cross-functional teams and interact with engineering teams to assess product technical specs and capabilities
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to think out of the box to develop unique and creative technical content
  • Problem solver, with ability to multi-task, assess options and deliver recommendations
  • Business to business marketing experience
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently
  • Results driven with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Engineering Degree Preferred
