Essential Job Duties

  • Lead region's account management team, including supervision, mentoring, development, new hire selection and onboarding, and staffing/resource requirements.
  • Develop and implement region's strategic sales plan and budget.
  • Implement sales strategies and product promotions; maximizing growth while minimizing sales channel conflicts.
  • Monitor and communicate market pricing levels and delivery requirements; manage price discount to desired levels.
  • Work with business development team to expand business in key market segments and execute the transition of new account from business development to the sales organization.
  • Attend trade shows, product shows and buying group meetings as necessary.
  • Utilize CRM to manage activity within region.
  • Provide customer service support as needed.
  • Coordinate customer visits to the Education Center and manufacturing facilities.
  • Continually look for ways to improve both internal and external operating procedures. Communicate any recommended modifications that increase customer service levels, productivity and improvement in the credit, production and scheduling and shipping areas. (Presale to Post sales).
  • Effectively communicate requirements and needs to business unit product managers, which include: specials, product needs, pricing savings, program needs, literature and videos. Serve as a consultant to the business unit teams bringing product feedback back from the field.


Experience
General SummaryResponsible for maximizing overall sales growth within region, including development of new customers and growth/retention of existing customers. Provides leadership to regional account management team.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. There is an occasional need for walking short distances. Work may be performed in company's setting, home, or hybrid.


Preferred Skills/Certifications

  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.
    • Technical aptitude or expertise; engineering degree or experience preferred
    • Strong analytical and negotiating skills
    • Self-motivated with strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
    • Travel is required (25-50%)
