At Hallmark our Information Technology division is vital to helping Hallmark win in the marketplace. As an IT Systems Engineer, you'll be a key member of our supply chain team focused on getting our products into the hands of consumers. Our group works with our Distribution Centers to streamline order fulfillment processes through world class technology solutions. We are a highly collaborative group working across multiple vendor teams and internal business partners.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be working with multiple warehouse management technologies. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the IT systems development. You will be part of a team that manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the distribution center to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure). The team is responsible for servers, printers, network devices, software configurations, and integrations between on-prem and cloud hosted solutions. You will also validate all types of testing and support activities related to implementation and support. In this position, you will:

  • Defines customers' needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
  • Assists in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output.
  • Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Implements warranty and support activities.
  • Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff.
  • Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency.
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of professional work experience
  • At least 3 years of related experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development.
  • Experience demonstrating basic knowledge/expertise in a particular program/area and interacting with clients to understand requests.
  • Experience contributing to one or mor projects or more than one aspect of a large project.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume application will stand out if you have:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent
  • Any Cloud Security alliance, solution architect or courses on IaaS, PaaS
  • Experience with automation tools and technologies (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes) for managing and deploying systems
