Respiratory Therapist

Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager, qualified applicants will evaluate patients and recommend a treatment plan; explain purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to the patient; conduct physician prescribed treatments; perform chest treatments; instruct and supervise pulmonary rehab exercises; instruct patients in home care; perform arterial puncture; operate blood gas analyzer; perform EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition; set up, operate, and monitor ventilators; record all pertinent information of treatments and patient response to treatments; communicate with physician concerning patient response and progress; build positive relationships with patient, patient families, and other staff members; demonstrate a helpful attitude; and communicate effectively. This position requires Registered Respiratory Therapist accreditation by the NBRC. Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure and CPR certification is also required. ACLS preferred.
